The participation of the King in these celebrations is part of the friendship and working visit that the Sovereign is paying to the UAE on the occasion of the organization of the Moroccan Week in Abu Dhabi.
Observers says this participation also “reflects the historical and brotherly relations between Morocco and the UAE and their leaders, King Mohammed VI and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.”
The ceremony, which took place in the presence of notably Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Sheikhs members of the
Supreme Council, Rulers of the emirates and Crown Princes, was marked by artistic and folkloric performance tracing the history of the UAE, and representations by members of the UAE Armed Forces, reflecting the spirits of unity, strength and belonging of these forces.
During this friendship and working visit, King Mohammed VI is accompanied by a delegation, including the Sovereign’s Advisers, Zoulikha Nasri and Fouad Ali El Himma, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Aziz Akhannouch, Minister of Health, El Houssaine Louardi, Minister of Tourism, Lahcen Haddad, Minister of Culture, Mohamed Amine Sbihi, Minister of Crafts, Social Economy and Solidarity, Fatema Merouane, Ambassador of HM the King in Abu Dhabi, Mohamed Ait Ouali, and several other figures.
UAE Foreign Minister Praises King’s participation in the ceremonies
UAE Foreign Minister, HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Thursday praised the participation of King Mohammed VI at the ceremonies celebrating the 44th anniversary of the foundation of the United Arab Emirates.
“The participation of HM the King in the ceremonies celebrating the 44th anniversary of the creation of the Union is a great honor for us”, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan told the press.
Highlighting the continued development of Moroccan-Emirati relations, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said these cooperation relationships have a great future. “These cooperation relations will not be limited to economic, political and security fields, but will also cover social issues that concern the people of the two brotherly countries”, he added.
UAE Foreign Minister also recalled that Moroccan-UAE ties are the fruits of the efforts made by late King Hassan II and late Sheikh Zayed Ben Soltane Al Nahyan, noting their sons are now working for reinforcing these relations.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the “noble” positions of the Kingdom of Morocco towards the State of the United Arab Emirates. “We are proud of these positions”, he underlined.
