Rabat – A Ferrari that belonged to the late King Hassan II is set for sale in an auction next February 5 in Paris.
The classic car, a 1962 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Series 2, was among the properties of the late King Hassan II before it was acquired by a French private collector, who hopes to sell it for between 1.4 and 1.8 million euros.
French house Artcurial Motorcars will organize the sale on February 5, 2016 at the show “Retromobile” – one of the largest auctions in the world for vintage cars.
The auction will also feature many Ferrari brands, a yacht, and a collection of Citroën cars, which belong to the founder of Club Med., a French corporation of vacation resorts found all over the world, usually in exotic locations.
According to the Huffington Post Maghreb, last February a 1970 Citroën SM belonging to Hassan II had been exhibited at the Retromobile show in Paris.
A similar model by Ferrari has reportedly been sold for $1,705,000 in the United States.
