Built in-line with the healthcare goals of Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, the multi-specialty hospital called “Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi” was officially inaugurated in the presence of the King of Morocco and his brother, Prince Moulay Rachid.
UAE and Moroccan dignitaries and officials attended the ceremony.
The ceremony was held alongside the country’s 44th National Day celebrations and came about eight months after the hospital started to accept its first patients at several clinics since last March..
According to the hospital, it has completed 44,000 appointments and 3,000 international procedures and surgeries since its launch in March.
The Abu Dhabi Hospital, which is part of the US-based Cleveland Clinic, is composed of twelve institutes that cover specialties such as neurology, heart and vascular, respiratory and critical care, digestive disease, and emergency medicine.
King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Prince Moulay Rachid, also chaired in Abu Dhabi the official launch of the Moroccan cultural week in the United Arab Emirates on Friday.
The King’s friendship and working visit to the United Arab Emirates coincides with the celebration of the 44th Anniversary of the National Day of this country.
