New York – Doubts have been raised on Donald Trump’s true political affiliation. The U.S. Republican Party is accusing their current poll-leader of secretly running for the interests of Democrat leader, Hillary Clinton.
Republicans have begun to question what is ‘The Donald’s’ real agenda and who he is truly favoring, as his recent statement are allegedly “destroying” the Republican party’s true ideals, according to BBC News.
After the billionaire threatened to leave the GOP and run as an Independent, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush took on to Twitter to accuse him of having a secret deal with Clinton.
“Maybe Donald negotiated a deal with his buddy Hillary Clinton,” Bush tweeted this week.
“Continuing this path will put [Hillary Clinton] in the White House,” he added.
Trump’s political loyalty has jumped from one party to another. He began as a Republican, switched sides to support women’s pro-choice, and now he is a far-right conservative with a racist rhetoric, the same report noted.
Some political experts are asking if Trump’s true intentions are those of a Democrat sent to sabotage and destroy the GOP from within, causing a serious struggle for them to win the 2016 Presidential election.
“If Donald Trump were a Democratic mole placed in the Republican Party to disrupt things, how would his behavior be any different?” conservative political commentator said last July.
According to the same report, last May, before Trump announced his candidacy, there was an alleged “mystery” phone call between him and former U.S. President Bill Clinton.
“Clinton encouraged Trump’s efforts to play a larger role in the Republican Party and offered his own views of the political landscape,” the Washington Post reported at the time.
“Trump didn’t jump into this race because of his deep abiding love for America, or his being a Republican or caring about conservatism,” conservative commentator Brian Cates said.
“Trump jumped into this race because BILL CLINTON urged him to,” he firmly added.
Florida Republican Congressman Carlos Curbelo openly accused Trump of being “a phantom candidate recruited by the left to create this entire political circus.”
“Mr. Trump has a close friendship with Bill and Hillary Clinton,” he said.
“They were at his last wedding. He has contributed to the Clintons’ foundation. He has contributed to Mrs Clinton’s Senate campaigns. All of this is very suspicious,” he added.
The latest in the series of controversial statements made by the real estate mogul was when he called last Monday for banning Muslims from entering the United States. The statement stirred an uproar worldwide. A petition was launched in the UK earlier this week, calling for banning Trump from entering the country. The petition garnered over 400,000 signatures in a record time.
Trump’s controversial announcements, “tend to often coincide with scandalous revelations that reflect poorly on Democratic politicians,” Noah Rothman of Commentary magazine said.
“None of this establishes either correlation or causation, but it is remarkably coincidental how often Donald Trump has rescued Democrats from the jaws of a terrible news cycle and the withering scrutiny of the press,” he added.
According to some Republican leaders and activists, Trump steals the spotlight with his racist rhetoric at the same time that the Democratic Party should be making the headlines for their alleged scandals, letting Democrats off the hook.
