New York – Moroccan Minister of Tourism Lahcen Haddad inaugurates Morocco’s first themed amusement park “Palooza Land” on Monday.

According to a press release sent to Morocco World News, after two years of hard work and a MAD 70 million investment, Minister Haddad and Marrakech local authorities will official inaugurate “Palooza Land.”

“We encourage the building of theme parks. Entertainment and leisure are part and parcel of our strategy to improve the attractiveness of Morocco as a tourist destination for families, young people and children,” Minister Haddad said in a statement to Morocco World News.

The entertainment complex is located at the entrance of Marrakech covering an area of 24,000 m² divided into specially-themed “worlds”, including rides, robotic dinosaurs, a swimming pool area, and more than 30 family attractions.

The park also includes a 500-seat amphitheatre offering live entertainment. The venue, equipped with the latest in sound and lighting, may also be rented for corporate and team-building events, the communiqué noted.

 “Palooza Land’s” five different “worlds” are: Play World, Dino World, Water World, Fantastic World, and Show World.

  • Play World: offers over 30 rides and attractions for toddlers and thrill-seekers.
  • Dino World: home to about thirty species of technology advanced ‘animatronic’ dinosaurs.
  • Water World: includes a large family pool for up to 350 guests, slides, and water jets.
  • Fantastic World: home to fantasy giant creatures like butterflies, flowers and trees.
  • Show World: offers artistic performances, dances, songs, sound-and-light shows

According to the same source, “Palooza Land” offers a food court and several food kiosks across the park.

The newly-opened amusement park expects 500,000 visitors per year. Admission prices are fixed at MAD 12 and 15 and attraction prices are between MAD 8 and 40.

“Palooza Land” is a product of Parthenon Holding, a Moroccan group founded by Othman Benabdeljalil as a single window, a “One Stop Service” specialized in entertainment.

Keeping in mind the safety of its guests, all facilities meet the strictest international standards, where each attraction has its own alarm and security systems.
