Rabat - F.C. Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, has been declared the winner of the FIFA 2015 Ballon D’Or. The Argentinian player came ahead of his teammate Neymar Junior and his Real Madrid rival, Cristiano Ronaldo.

This is the fifth time that the “Pulga” wins the FIFA Ballon D’Or, after 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. In 2013 and 2014, Messi came second behind Portuguese striker, Cristiano Ronaldo.
With this new title, Messi becomes the world’s first player to win the title five times.
Messi had a remarkable season with his Catalan team last year, winning fiveout of six possible titles. The Argentinian’s good performance helped Barcelona win the Spanish Liga, the Champions’ League, the Copa del Rey, the European Super Cup, as well as the FIFA Club World Cup.
Since Messi made it to the first team on October 16, 2004, F.C. Barcelona won four Champions League Titles, in 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015, as well as seven Spanish Liga titles in 2004–05, 2005–06, 2008–09, 2009–10, 2010–11, 2012–13, 2014–15.
