Rabat – A sit-in in solidarity with the victims of the attack that targeted a hotel in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on Friday night is expected to take place on Wednesday at 6 pm in Rabat.
The Democratic Labor Organization (ODT) announced in a post on its Facebook page that it would organize a sit in at the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Rabat, near the Lycée Descartes, in the district of Agdal at 6:00 pm.
The organization called on migrants and all those who identify with the African country to take part in the sit-in to denounce “such barbaric acts,” and say “No to Terrorism”.
“Hostile to such barbaric and inhumane alleged acts of terrorism, harming human life, we say no to such atrocities, which are in stark contrast to universal humane values,” the organization said, expressing support and condolences “to the bereaved families who lost their relatives.”
The organization extended special condolences to the family of Moroccan photographer Leila Alaoui, who was among the people killed during the Ouagadougou terrorist attack.
The economic, political, and media counselor of the Moroccan Embassy in Ouagadougou told Morocco World News that the remains of Moroccan photographer Leila Alaoui are being transferred to Marrakech onboard a private jet provided by Moroccan King Mohammed VI.
Militant gunmen from al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) claimed the attack on the hotel, where 29 innocent people were killed, including international tourists.
