Rabat – A blog about living and running in Morocco www.alicemorrison.co.uk/blog has won the prestigious Best Africa Blog category of the www.runultra.co.uk blog awards.
Alice Morrison, from Scotland, is an Adventurer based in Marrakech. Her blog covers life in Morocco as seen through her eyes. Everything from big adventures like completing the Marathon Des Sables to Top Tips for Driving in Morocco.
Alice Morrison, 52, is an Adventurer based in Marrakech. She is originally from Edinburgh in Scotland. She has previously completed the longest bike race in the world, The Tour D’Afrique and the Marathon Des Sables, the toughest footrace on earth.
Alice has lived in Morocco for two years and loves the country and its people. “ It is a joy to write about, “ she says. “Every day brings you a new story, whether it is about the stunning landscapes of the Atlas mountains or the manic bustle of Marrakech.”
“The thing I love most about the country, though, “ she continues, “is the warmth and kindness of the people. I try and share a sense of that when I write my blogs.”
“Alice brings a life and vivacity to everything she writes about and we felt she really captures the spirit of Morocco and what it is like to live, run and adventure there. She is a very worthy winner,” Steve Diederich, owner of RunUltra, said.
