Oprah Winfrey reportedly earned $12 million with just one Twitter post on Tuesday after sharing a video about her Weight Watchers journey.
The media mogul gained the large sum of money after she tweeted a video of herself on Tuesday afternoon proclaiming she lost 26 pounds while eating bread every single day on a Weight Watchers diet.
In the clip, Winfrey reveals that she eats bread daily—a taboo among American dieters—and continues to lose weight. “Eat bread. Lose weight. Whaaatttt? #ComeJoinMe,” she captioned the post.

After Oprah’s tweet, the shares of the diet company Weight Watchers International Inc. skyrocketed more than 20 percent, closing at $13.29 a share. The TV personality, 61, owns 6.4 million shares, or roughly 10 percent of the stock of the company.
Oprah became a spokesperson for Weight Watchers last October.
“Weight Watchers has given me the tools to begin to make the lasting shift that I and so many of us who are struggling with weight have longed for,” she said in a statement at the time.
“I believe in the program so much, I decided to invest in the company and partner in its evolution,” she added.
