Rabat – Riad Mena & Beyond in Marrakech was ranked on the top of the seven of the “World’s Most Beautiful Tiny Hotels” by the fashion and lifestyle magazine, Vogue.
Riad Mena is “a serene and spacious 600sq m Riad” located in the center of the old Medina, about eight minutes walking distance through picturesque alleyways to Marrakech´s main-square, the Jemaa el Fna.
According to the magazine, the Riad has six rooms, an outdoor pool in the central courtyard, and a hammam and spa that offer yoga and Japanese calisthenics.
Hôtel Droog, at the historical center of Amsterdam, ranked second followed by Hotel Covell, a micro-hotel that has five rooms, in Los Angeles.
Most of the world rankings tend to make lists of the gigantesque and spacious hotels, but this time Vogue’s list shed light on the “World’s Most Beautiful Tiny Hotels.”
“Giant hotels and resorts, however luxurious they may be, can tend to feel a little overwhelming,” Vogue said adding that “it’s not always relaxing to be one of 300-plus guests, navigating through a stadium-size lobby, and heading down to the pool around 7:00 a.m. to secure a decent lounge chair before they’re all taken.”
“There are advantages to booking in a 15- or 10-room hotel, including more attention from the staff, more spaciousness, and, above all else, a real sense of peace and quiet,” the magazine said.
Marrakech, Morocco’s tourist destination is home to many hotels, Riads, and Kasbahs that have ranked on the world’s top and best tourist buildings.
