Abidjan – Ivorian Minister of Commerce Jean-Louis Billon hailed, here Friday, Morocco’s ongoing commitment to Côte d’Ivoire, stressing that the Kingdom “has always shown great interest”‘ in everything related to sub-Saharan Africa in general and his country in particular.
In a speech read on his behalf by his deputy head of cabinet, Mr. Billon conveyed the deep appreciation and sincere thanks of Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara and the Ivorian government to HM King Mohammed VI, the Moroccan delegation participating in the 2nd International Fair of Abidjan (FIA-2016), and the valiant people of Morocco.
“Morocco’s participation in FIA-2016 as a guest of honor does not surprise us because we know the values and the civilization that we share in the name of history and geography”, said the minister who was speaking at a Moroccan-Ivorian business forum initiated within the framework of FIA- 2016.
He noted that Morocco’s strong presence in the FIA is a living testimony to the brotherly and friendship relations between the two countries since 1962, recalling the multiple agreements signed between the two countries on the occasion of the visit of the Ivorian President to Morocco and the visit of HM King Mohammed VI to Abidjan.
