Rabat – The latest visit of King Mohammed VI to Russia is a diplomatic revolution that heralds a new era in relations between the two countries, Russian ambassador in Rabat, Valeri Vorobiev, said.
This visit, which came 14 years after the first visit of the Sovereign to Russia, was “successful” and opens new prospects for cooperation between the two countries, the Russian diplomat said on the sidelines of a communication meeting organized, Thursday in Rabat, by the Moroccan-Russian Friendship Association, in collaboration with the Russian Embassy in Morocco and the faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences-Souissi Rabat.
The secular historical relations between Morocco and the Russian Federation have always been “positive”, Vorobiev stressed, highlighting the need for promoting bilateral cooperation in various fields and diversifying partnerships between the two parties.
The ambassador called for strengthening bilateral relations, noting that Russia is a big market for trade, which would develop Morocco’s relations and interests in various fields.
