Rabat – The 4th MED Ports 2016 Exhibition and Conference is scheduled to take place April 27-28 at Tangier-Med Port Center.
The two-day event will be convened by Tangier-Med Port Authority.
The conference will feature 30 expert speakers who will address topical issues and challenges related to global transportation and logistics.
The event will involve representatives from the Mediterranean, including senior executive harbor-masters, port engineers, importers, exporters, and maintenance supervisors.
The event will include a commercial opportunity for 70 exhibitors and sponsors to network directly with the delegates concerning international maritime affairs.
MED Ports is considered the largest annual exhibition and conference for container ports and terminal operations in the Mediterranean region.
According to an article published by Financial Times last month, Tangier-Med Port has become a global maritime hub that provides an ideal connectivity with Europe, the Mediterranean and the rest of the world.
The same source said that this achievement can be attributed to the large-scale port’s four competitive free zones, which attract investments for the industry and services sectors and create jobs.
The port is part of the industrial development strategy of Morocco. According to the same source, Tangier-Med Port has attracted several companies in free zones dedicated to the automotive industry (seats, wiring and air conditioning systems), aeronautics (composite parts and air exchangers), electronics (electronic boards and sensors), textiles (finished goods) and the food industry, notably the processing of sea products.
