Morocco maintains “excellent” cooperation relations with FAO, Bouaida told MAP following talks.
This meeting was an opportunity to discuss ways to further strengthen these relations, she added.
The FAO official, on a visit to Morocco to take part in the 11th edition of Morocco’s International Agriculture Fair (SIAM 2016), praised the role played by the Kingdom in the implementation of South-South partnership and its contribution to the improvement of farming systems towards better food security in the world.
She said that the talks also focused on issues related to South-South cooperation.
Semedo’s visit to Morocco is also part of preparations for the convening of the next UN Climate Conference (COP22) to be held in Marrakech in November 2016.
