Rabat – The government has earmarked 1.8 billion dirhams for the implementation of the nation-wide strategy against corruption, which was officially launched on Tuesday in Rabat.
The strategy, which will span 10 years, includes 16 main lines and 239 projects and is composed of ten programs coordinated by several ministers.
They are: the program of improving citizens’ services, coordinated by the interior minister, the program of e-administration, coordinated by the minister of industry, trade, investment and digital economy, the programs of ethics, transparency and access to information, coordinated by the minister in charge of civil service and administration modernization, as well as the program of public contracts, control and accountability, coordinated by the minister of economy and finances, in addition to the anti-crime program coordinated by the justice minister.
The strategy also includes a program on the private sector’s integrity, coordinated by the employers’ association CGEM, a program of communication and awareness-raising, coordinated by the communication minister and the education and training program coordinated by the minister of national education and vocational training.
National and international indicators will be used to assess the efficiency of the said strategy mainly the corruption perceptions index by Transparency International, the business climate index and the global competitiveness index.
