Madrid – Spanish Secretary of State for Culture José Maria Lassalle will start on Thursday a working visit to Morocco during which he will meet with culture minister Mohammed Amine Sbihi, said an official source in Madrid.
The visit will touch on the progress of the cultural program “Visages. L’art espagnol aujourd’hui” (Faces. Spanish art today), initiated by the two countries’ culture departments, said on Wednesday a statement by the Spanish ministry of education, culture and sport.
This program is meant to shed light on the accomplishments of the Spanish cultural industry, its presence and influence in Morocco, a neighboring country with which Spain has robust cultural relations, it added.
The said program features dance, music and contemporary art shows, workshops on heritage preservation and site restoration, translation and museology.
