Taroudant – Marrakech is among the most popular destinations for Londoners according to new research published by the British website the Daily Mail.
Conducted by the British travel company Tele Text Holidays, research that looked at 100,000 holidays booked by Brits over the last year found that Marrakech remains the favorite tourist destination for adventurous Londoners.
“Adventurous Londoners like to visit Marrakech and don’t mind spending just three nights in a five-star hotel for their breaks,” the same source said.
While Londoners prefer the ochre city, people living in Edinburgh and Birmingham choose to go to Barcelona and those living in Plymouth and Brighton like to enjoy the sunny clime of Gran Canaria.
The same source added that Londoners, unlike travelers from other cities in Britain, are more likely to stay in a five-star hotel.
“They were happy to go away for a three-night break but those in the North of England preferred a trip that was two weeks or longer,” the research found.
With its exotic old medina, luxurious hotels, old riyads and a vibrant square that host all forms of entertainment and delicious food, Marrakech continues to fascinate its visitors and attract world celebrities.
Last week, the Dutch Website Skyscanner listed the famous square of Jamaa El-Fna in Marrakech among the most alluring squares to visit in the world.
