Paris – Three people have been arrested on Tuesday over suspected links to the killer of a French policeofficer and his wife, according to police sources. Jean-Baptiste Salvaing and his wife Jessica Schneider, were killed at their suburban home in Magnanville, west of Paris, last week.
The 42-year-old police commander was found with nine stomach wounds in what French president Francois Hollande described as undeniably a terror attack.
Police raided the family home in the early hours of the morning, and shot dead attacker Larossi Abballa after a number of failed negotiations.
The sole survivor was the couple’s three-year-old son.
Abballa had previous links to the extremist group, after sentenced to three years in 2013 for “association with criminals preparing terrorist attacks.” Despite his conviction, he spent only a few months in prison.
