Rabat – American First Lady Michelle Obama has created a Snapchat account to update students around the world about her upcoming trip to promote girls’ education.
On Tuesday, the First Lady posted her first video to her Snapchat story, a feed of videos and photos available to anyone who adds Mrs. Obama on the app. Today, her story featured a photo shoot with Cosmo magazine and four young girls. Helping Mrs. Obama promote her Let Girls Learn initiative, the girls told the camera: “I’m strong. I’m smart. I’m creative. I’m a girl.” The four small students then posed with Mrs. Obama in a picture captioned “Squad.”
The White House stated in a press release on Tuesday that Mrs. Obama launched a Snapchat account “to give young people everywhere a fun way to follow her trip, learn about the more than 62 million girls around the world who aren’t in school, and take action to support them.”
Mrs. Obama will provide updates from behind-the-scenes in Washington, D.C. and abroad in the coming months. To follow the First Lady on Snapchat, add the account “MichelleObama”.
