Brussels – The United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 22), to be held on November 7-18 in Marrakech, will be an opportunity to make progress on the commitments made at the last conference of Paris, said Monday the European Commission (EC).
This conference will highlight the “efforts to be made to intensify international action on the climate before 2020 and is expected to lead to further progress on the key elements of the Paris conference,” said the EU’s executive body.
This includes access to financing, technology use and the development and strengthening of skills and processes needed in developing countries to help them implement their national climate plans, the European Commission said.
