Baghdad – A suicide bomb on Sunday killed at least 21 people and injured more than 35 others in a residential neighborhood in northern Baghdad, police and medical officials have said.
Many of those killed were reportedly on their way to a Shia shrine in the predominantly Shiite neighborhood of Kadhimiya, the same sources pointed out.
This attack came just weeks after the deadliest terror attack in war-weary Baghdad in years, when a suicide truck bomb plowed into a busy shopping district killing almost 300 people.
