Rabat – The net income of Maroc Telecom Group, Morocco’s largest telecom operator, rose by 3.2 percent in the first half of 2016 to stand at MAD 2.91 billion, the group said on Monday.
The improvement was driven by the group’s international operations, the group added in a press release.
At the end of June 2016, Maroc Telecom’s consolidated turnover amounted to MAD 17.59 billion, up by 6.1 percent compared to the first half of 2015.
“The performance in the first half demonstrates once again the relevance of the strategic choices made by Maroc Telecom for international diversification,” President of the Group’s board of managers Abdeslam Ahizoune pointed out.
