Rabat - The fill rate of Morocco's dams reached 50.3 % up to August 1st, 2016, the equivalent of 7.82 billion cubic meters (m3), compared to 11.78 billion m3 a year earlier (75.8 %), according to the Ministry in charge of Water.

The department underlines the decrease of water supplies in some dams compared to the same period last year, including Oued El Makhazine (from 73.4 % to 47%), My Hassan Ben Al Mahdi (from 60.2% to 22.6%) and M.B.A Al Khattabi (from 71.2% to 29.3%).
Other dams recorded an increase in water supplies, such as Imi El Kheng (from 72.6% to 92.9%), Dkhlia (from 70.9% to 80.7%) and Abou El Abbas Essabti (from 89% to 91.7%), the source noted.
Garde Sebou dam recorded a fill rate of 100% by August 1st.
The fill rate of Morocco’s dams reached 60.9 % up to March 30, 2016, the equivalent of 9.84 billion cubic meters (m3).
