New York - Morocco's permanent representative to the United Nation, Ambassador Omar Hilale hosted a reception in New York on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the accession of King Mohammed VI to the Throne of His glorious ancestors.
New York – Morocco’s permanent representative to the United Nation, Ambassador Omar Hilale hosted a reception in New York on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the accession of King Mohammed VI to the Throne of His glorious ancestors.
The reception was attended by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, who asked Ambassador Hilale to convey his wishes for happiness and prosperity to the Sovereign and hailed the King’s commitment for the great causes of the United Nations.
The UN Chief has also requested the Moroccan ambassador to convey his gratitude to the Sovereign for the ratification of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
He also praised efforts made by Morocco to host the COP22, saying that this important event to be hosted in Marrakech will be a great success.
The reception was also attended by ambassadors accredited in New York, senior officials of the UN Secretariat, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, reporters, businessmen and members of the Moroccan community living in New York.
