A total of 528.731 passengers and 141.437 cars entered Morocco via the Tangiers Med Port from June 5 to July 10, posting an annual rise of 16%, the source pointed out in a statement.
The operation of receiving Moroccans living abroad “Marhaba 2016” was launched on June 5 at the Tangiers-Med Port, where several measures were taken to ensure the fluidity of passengers and vehicles traffic in comfort and security.
Port and airport authorities, in coordination with the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Police and the Customs administration took a series of measures notably the reinforcement of human resources, and the reopening and redevelopment of rest areas.
