Rabat – A Moroccan boxer was arrested on Friday August 5 for an alleged sexual assault against two women in the Olympic village, in Rio de Janiero.
Hassan Saada, a 22-year-old boxer, has reportedly molested two cleaning ladies on Wednesday, according to Brazilian authorities.
Saada apparently called the two ladies to his room then attacked them. He groped the thighs of one and the breasts of the other, before the victims were able to break free under the indifference of two other athletes, according to G1 of Globo.
“Based on the investigation, on the third of this month (August), the athlete had raped two cleaning ladies in the Athletes’ Village,” the police said in a statement to the AFP.
The athlete is now detained for a 15 day period, according to the same source.
This incident took place less than a month after the members of Morocco’s youth football team were disqualified for assaulting three Swedish girls.
