New York - Moroccan boxer, Mohammed Rabbii, has qualified to the quarterfinals of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games after he beat his rival, Kenya’s Rayton Nduku Okwiri.
New York – Moroccan boxer, Mohammed Rabbii, has qualified to the quarterfinals of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games after he beat his rival, Kenya’s Rayton Nduku Okwiri.
The Moroccan boxer made history last October he won the welterweight world championship in Doha, becoming the first Moroccan boxer to win the title.
The 22-year-old champion became also the first African and Arab boxer to win the gold medal in the World Boxing Championships.
Thanks to his outstanding performances, the International Boxing Association named him the Boxer of the Month for October 2015.
