Rabat– Morocco’s bank credit increased by 2.2% in July 2016, compared to 2% a year earlier, according to the Central Bank –Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM).
The rise is mainly due to the fastest pace of growth of investment loans from 3.2% to 4.4%, and to the slower fall of liquidity facilities from 0.5% to 0.1%, says Tuesday the Bank in a note on key indicators of monetary statistics for July 2016.
However, consumer credit has almost stabilized at 4.9% while the growth rate of real estate loans decreased from 2.1% to 1.7%
