Rabat – Morocco’s trade deficit widened by 13% in the first eight months of 2016 compared to the same period of last year, the Exchange Control Office said.
The foreign trade balance stood at 120.345 billion dirhams in January-August 2016 against 106.48 billion dirhams one year before, the source added.
The Office further noted that the coverage rate of imports by exports reached 55% against 57.6% by the end of August 2015.
