Rabat – Head of Government, Abdelilah Benkirane, had talks on Monday in Rabat with vice chairman of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Du Qinglin, who is on a working visit to Morocco.
The talks focused on the means to strengthen Morocco-Chinese partnership and several issues of common interest.
On this occasion, Benkirane gave an overview of the major reforms and projects undertaken in Morocco that enabled the kingdom’s to preserve its stability and serve as a platform of investments and trade exchanges with Africa, the Government Head’s department said in a statement.
In his turn, Du Qinglin, who leads a delegation of Chinese officials on his visit to Morocco, praised the stability enjoyed by the Kingdom, noting that the dynamics of the Moroccan economy attracts Chinese companies wishing to invest in Morocco in various sectors.
The two officials expressed their satisfaction with the evolution of Sino-Moroccan partnership in various fields, especially in trade and tourism, following the official visit of king Mohammed VI to China last June, which was marked by the signing of a joint statement on establishing a strategic partnership between the two countries.
The two sides also hailed the friendly relations between Morocco and China.
