Rabat – A Moroccan medical delegation paid a visit to an Israeli medical complex in Haifa, Israel, prompting the Moroccan Anti-Normalization Observatory to condemn the move.
The Israeli Ministry of Interior revealed that a Moroccan medical delegation of pediatricians visited the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa last Monday, according to Moroccan news website Yabiliadi.com. The Moroccan delegation requested assistance from their Israeli counterparts to establish a unit for bone marrow transplants.
The delegation consists of Hassan Afilal, the chairman of the association of pediatrics, and director of the department of premature infants at Children Hospital in Rabat, and Mohamed Khattab, the director of children’s cancer in the same hospital, according to Arabic-speaking news source Yabiladi Arabic.
Myriam Harouch, a professor at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, Israel, stated that she visited Morocco after an invitation from the same delegation.
In their visit to the medical complex, the Moroccan delegation went on a tour around the medical campus, met Israeli personnel, and attended a lecture on “The Coexistence Between Crew Members and the Patients in Hospitals and its Multiculturalism.”
The Moroccan delegation also expressed its desire to establish a unit for bone marrow transplant in Morocco, and requested assistance from their Israeli counterpart.
The President of the Moroccan Anti-Normalization Observatory Ahmed Wihman condemned the initiative and pointed out that Moroccans will also denounce it:
“Such doctors do not respect themselves and it’s enough that they will be rejected by Moroccans. But the question is, where are those responsible for our security.”
Mr. Wihman believes that collaboration with the Zionist State represents a threat for national security of Morocco:
“These events have become banal and valueless compared to the danger that threatens Morocco and its social unity and stability. These infiltrations and invitations have become part of the details. The Israeli project seeks to rip Morocco apart to small countries and we, at the Moroccan Anti-Normalization Observatory, fight these attempts.”
