Rabat – The observation of legislative elections, which are taking place on Friday across the Kingdom, will not exceed 20% of polling offices, said secretary general of the national council of human rights (CNDH) Mohammed Essabbar.
This is a record figure, he told the press following a visit to one of Rabat polling offices by the special committee in charge of accrediting election observers, set up under the CNDH.
The number of accredited observers reached over 4,700 throughout Morocco to make sure that elections are going smoothly, he said.
He added that the said committee will hold, on Sunday, a press conference to present and explain to media outlets the results of Oct.7 election observation.
The operation of independent and neutral observation of Oct. 7 elections was attended by 37 national and international bodies, including 31 national associations and some CNDH observers.
