Rabat – Moroccan authorities arrested, Wednesday, a French national suspected in a fraud case against more than 100 victims.
The suspect, 39, who runs a call center in Casablanca and is currently in an irregular situation in Morocco, had issued a fraudulent ad on an electronic site, the General Directorate of national security (DGSN) said in a statement.
This ad proposed a fictitious job offer and specialized training provided that candidates pay 500 dirhams to the company as a cost of the social security fund, the statement added.
Some 100 victims were heard by the police, claiming that they have paid the required sum and filled out a form that was distributed to them by the company, without getting job positions.
In connection with this case, police arrested one of the employees of the call center, a Moroccan national, for his alleged involvement in these crimes.
