Abidjan – A dozen of Moroccan companies specialized in the plastics industry started Monday a working visit to Abidjan to explore investment and partnership opportunities in Cote d’Ivoire’s market.
This four-day “B to B” professional mission is jointly initiated by the Moroccan center for exports promotion “Maroc Export” and the Moroccan Federation of Plastics Industry (FMP).
According to Maroc Export, the mission is meant to strengthen and develop partnership in the plastics industry, through the organization of professional meetings between participating companies and importers/ distributors from Cote d’Ivoire.
It also aims to highlight the potential of the Moroccan companies in order to boost trade between the two countries in this sector.
In Morocco, plastics and packaging industry is the second largest sector in the transformation of chemicals, Maroc Export said, adding that the plastics industry is represented by nearly 650 companies and generates 45,000 direct jobs and 300,000 indirect jobs.
