Casablanca – The alleged victim of Saad Lamjarreds case of sexual assault has allegedly spent the most part of the night with the Moroccan pop singer, according to news reports.
According to sources cited by Moroccan news outlet Le360, the 20-year-old French woman who last week accused singer Saad Lamjarred of “sexual assault with violence,” spent the majority of the evening in his company — in two night clubs and then at the Marriott Hotel.
Le360’s sources stated that, “This is a young 20-year-old woman, a cabaret employee, who willingly accompanied Lamjarred and a couple of his friends to a second night club and then to a luxury hotel.”
The alleged victim stated these facts to the police during interrogation, telling them that she willingly went to the hotel with him. While some may use this information to conclude that she was therefore consenting, French law says that a woman who finds herself in the same place as her alleged aggressor is not automatically considered as consenting. No one knows, as of yet, what exactly happened in that hotel room.
According to Le360, Eric Dupond-Moretti, as well as other lawyers on Saad Lamjarred’s defense team, will plead his case on Wednesday, November 2, and ask for Lamjarred to be removed from the Fleury-Merogis prison. They will also ask for an opportunity for confrontation between Lamjarred and the alleged victim.
