Madrid – Morocco is striving to make the 22nd conference of parties to the UN Framework-Convention on Climate Change (COP22), slated Nov. 7-18 in Marrakesh, a summit turned towards action seeking to give concrete substance to the ambitious goals of the Paris Agreement on Climate, said Tatiana Nuno, official in the climate change campaign of Greenpeace-Spain.
The Kingdom made tremendous efforts to encourage parties, during the COP22, for the implementation of ambitious goals laid down in the Paris Agreement, particularly regarding energy transition, she told MAP.
Nuño, who welcomed Morocco’s achievements in the field of renewable energy, noted that the Marrakech Conference should examine ways to develop and implement mechanisms to ensure the implementation of goals agreed upon during the COP21.
“We have to make the COP22, as said Morocco, a summit of action and see how to progress effectively in carrying out these goals,” she insisted.
