King Mohammed VI is due to deliver a speech on 41th anniversary of the Green March. This is the first time the Moroccan monarch addresses the nation from outside of Morocco.
A statement issed by the Senegalese President’s office earlier Sunday welcomed King Mohammed VI’s visit.
“HM the King will kick off on Nov. 6, 2016, an official visit to Senegal and H.E. President Macky Sall welcomes the sovereign and wishes his distinguished guest a nice stay,” said a statement issued on Saturday in Dakar.
“HM the King’s stay in Senegal is part of strengthening long-standing and privileged relations of friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Senegal, said the same source.
During his stay, HM the King will meet with H. E. President Macky Sall on issues of shared interest, in addition to the signature of cooperation agreements between the two countries, said the statement, adding the sovereign’s visit will be also marked by important social activities for the benefit of the population.
