London – The new US President-elect, Donald Trump, finds his comments about banning Muslims from the US removed from his website.
The team surrounding Donald Trump have taken the decision to remove his comments to ban all Muslims from entering the US.
In a speech made on December 7th 2015, Trump said:
“Donald J Trump is calling for a complete and total shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what the hell is going on… We have no choice.”
These comments did not go unnoticed, with various condemnations for his statements flooding in from all over the globe. They were made just weeks after the November 2015 Paris attacks.
Trump and his allies, however, believe such procedure is necessary in order to protect the lives of Americans.
The link on his webpage originally directed the user to his statements in December 2015 about the ban of Muslims. This link was available upon the dawn of Election Day, but by its close, led to a donation page for his campaign.
This is not the only link that has been redirected on Trumps webpage. After speculation over Melania Trump’s completion of her university degree, her biography page was removed and replaced with a redirect to Trump’s golf course.
The Trump campaign team could not be contacted for comment.
