During the prayer, the Imam emphasized how the point of Islam is to create man’s happiness, to assure his dignity and progress, and that the way to that was by purity, faith, love and certitude.
The Imam also noted how King Mohamed VI’s blessed visit to Senegal represents the important of cooperation between different countries and peoples.
Following the Friday prayer, the King donated 10,000 copies of the holy Quran to the parties in charge of the management of religious affairs in Senegal. The Quran copies are published by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Holy Quran Publication and are meant to be distributed in Senegal’s mosques.
This batch of Quran copies, based on Warsh version from Nafi as adopted by Morocco and these countries, is offered in accordance with the royal instructions to meet the needs of mosques in western African countries.
