Rabat – The National Brigade of Judicial Police (BNPJ) have recently arrested in the city of Azrou an extremist affiliated with the “Al-Qaeda” and “Jabhat Fateh al-Sham”, formerly known as the “Al-Nusra Front”.
The interrogation with the suspect, a computer engineer, showed that he used his knowledge in this field to disseminate the extremist ideas of the “Al-Qaeda”, through the setting up of applications and electronic programs to serve the agenda of the supporters of this terrorist organization, said Saturday a statement by the Interior ministry.
The investigation also revealed the alleged involvement of the suspect in piracy of bank accounts of persons abroad, which allowed him to seize large sums of money.
He will be brought to justice pending the completion of the investigation led under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
