Marrakech – Zang Qiwu’s “The Donor” won on Saturday the Golden Star (Grand prize) at the Marrakech International Film Festival.
The Marrakech Festival’s Jury Prize was awarded to “Mister Universo.”
Best Actor went to Baldur Einarsson and Blaer Hinricksson for their roles in Icelandic drama “Heartstone”, while Best Actress was awarded to Fereshteh Hosseini for “Parting” by Navid Mahmoudi.
Chinese Wang Xuebo won the best director’s award for “Knife in the Clear Water”. Fourteen competition films competed this year at Marrakech 16th International Film Festival.
The film jury was chaired by Hungarian director Béla Tarr.
