Rabat – The Index North Africa exhibition kicked off on Monday and will run until Wednesday in Morocco’s economic capital, Casablanca.
Mohammed Khalid Alami, President of the Fédération des Entreprises d’Artisanat (FEA), opened the event by welcoming guests and cutting the inauguration ribbon..
The three-day event is aimed at uniting local designers with international furniture and decor suppliers.
The first day of the exhibition marked the presence of thousands of visitors and interior experts, including architects and real estate developers, who pledged to secure procurement deals with more than 50 leading global exhibitors.
Event Director with INDEX, Samantha Kane-Macdonald,said, “This is the latest expansion of the trusted INDEX brand and we cannot wait to help build that vital bridge between African designers and international suppliers.”
The exhibition is also considered an excellent networking opportunity for lucrative business owners to share a common platform while discussing future projects through a series of seminars over the three-day event.
Lamia Benhida, an interior designer with Creativ’Interiors, said, “INDEX North Africa is the first major exhibition focusing on interior design in Morocco. I am enthusiastic about seeing events that want to be at the forefront in terms of trends and technicalities taking place at home. It is a pleasure to attend this event.”
