Rabat - The judicial police of the northeastern city of Nador seized, on Thursday, 5.5 tons of hashish and arrested two individuals suspected of links with a criminal drug trafficking network.
Rabat – The judicial police of the northeastern city of Nador seized, on Thursday, 5.5 tons of hashish and arrested two individuals suspected of links with a criminal drug trafficking network.
One of the suspects was wanted by the Central Bureau for Judiciary Investigations (BCIJ) and Nador’s police district, for drug trafficking and forgery, the national police said in a statement.
The two individuals were arrested in the locality of Taourirt Boussetta, 7 km from Nador, the statement said, noting that the five vehicles were also seized during this operation.
They were remanded in custody to complete the probe conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, while investigations are underway to arrest all the suspects involved in this case.
