Rabat – Security services at the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca arrested, on Tuesday, a Nigerian national in possession of 5.235 kilograms of cocaine.
The suspect, 36, arrived in Casablanca from Sao Paulo (Brazil) and was bound for Cotonou (Benin).
The illicit drug was concealed in his personal luggage, the national police (DGSN) said in a statement.
He was remanded in custody to conduct the investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, it added.
