Rabat – A Facebook photo of King Mohammed VI and Moroccan-Swedish songwriter and record executive, Nadir Khayat, better known as RedOne, at Marrakech’s Royal palace, is going viral among Moroccan social media users.
RedOne took to his Facebook page on Wednesday afternoon to post a photo with King Mohammed VI, expressing his delight to be surrounded by the King, captioning the photo with “It is my ABSOLUTE greatest honor to be the guest of his Majesty, the KING of Morocco.”
A group of RedOne’s followers expressed their admiration for the King’s “youthful fashion style and elegance,” while others expressed amazement at the King’s “casually young clothing,as opposed to his typical, more formal clothing.”
In the photograph, the King appears wearing a blue jacket decorated with yellow and white squares. The King completed his look with a basic black T-shirt underneath the jacket, fashionable black straight legged jeans, and sleek leather shoes, polished to a high shine.
It has become customary for King Mohammed VI to appear wearing casual clothes. Last July, he appeared in a photo sporting a summer tan and casual summer clothes.
In 2011, King Mohammed awarded RedOne with the medal of “Intellectual Competence.”
