On Sunday, the Kingdom of Bahrain hosted a Hanukkah ceremony with the kingdom’s Jewish community to light the first candle.
Ruled by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the kingdom held the candle-lighting ceremony, to promote the idea of Jews and Arabs coming together and sharing a peaceful coexistence.
Bahrain began staging the Hanukkah ceremony in 2015, when the King of Bahrain invited the Conference of European Rabbis Director, Rabbi Moshe Levin, to perform the recitation of the traditional blessings while lighting the Hanukkah candles.
