As every season, the world’s Jews throng together to the Ben Baroukh shrine to celebrate Yom Hillula festivities, in which they supplicate and recite Jewish religious prayers.
At the beginning, those in attendance raise their palms, praying for Morocco’s King Mohammed VI, the royal family and the Moroccan people.
They also pray for mercy and forgiveness for late kings Hassan II and Mohammed V.
The shrine offers 300 rooms for visitor accommodations who come annually to celebrate this event.
This year’s ceremony was marked by the presence of the Wali of Souss Massa and the Governor of Idawtanan Agadir, Governor of Taroudant region and the Head of Souss Massa’s Council.
