Al-Quds – At least four Israeli soldiers were killed and 15 others were injured on Sunday as a Palestinian plowed a truck into a group of soldiers near Al-Quds (Jerusalem), emergency services said.
Three of the dead were females soldiers. The victims were all in their twenties.
The Palestinian attacker was killed by Israeli soldiers during the operation, the source added.
Israeli police said a truck with Israeli license plates veered from its course and plowed into a group of uniformed Israeli soldiers at a promenade in the settlement of East Talpiyyot, which overlooks the Old City of East al-Quds.
Israeli Prime Minister, Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said the attacker may have been an ISIS sympathizer.
“We know there is a sequence of terror attacks and it’s quite possible that there is a connection between them, from France, Berlin and now Jerusalem,” Netanyahu was quoted by CNN as saying.
There has been no claims for responsibility for the attack so far.
