The decoration was handed to Bensalah-Chaqroun on behalf of King Felipe VI of Spain by the Spanish ambassador to Morocco, Ricardo Diez-Hochleitner, during a ceremony held in the presence of several well-known personalities. .
This “well deserved” decoration pays tribute to the efforts and dedication of CGEM’s chairwoman to boost trade between the two countries, the Spanish diplomat pointed out.
Speaking on this occasion, Bensalah-Chaqroun expressed “deep gratitude” to Spain and to the Spanish King for this “prestigious distinction.” She noted that the Moroccan and Spanish private sectors have taken several important measures in recent years to strengthen their bilateral partnership, in particular with the creation of the Moroccan-Spanish Economic Council in 2013.
