Rabat – Sheikh Hamza, master of the brotherhood Qadiriyya Boudchichiyya died on Wednesday in Oujda’s Mohammed VI Hospital University at the age of 95, following a lengthy battle with illness.
Born in 1922 in Madagh, near Berkane in eastern Morocco, Sheikh Hamza grew up in Zawya Boudchichiya, where he raised and had a religious education. He completed a classical theological eduction.
Sheikh Hamza became the leader of the Qadiriyya Boudchichiyya following the death of his father in 1972.
The deceased’s funeral will take place after Thursday’s Asr prayer.
